When my etsy shop opened in September 2011, I was ridiculously unprepared for the Christmas orders. I did expect for there to be an increase in orders but I did NOT expect to run out of supplies FOUR TIMES over because of the increase…
With that being said, this is the first MOTHERS DAY that my shop will be open for! How exciting is that?! I have stocked up on all of the supplies I will need and I have even made some special occasion designs that I thought I would share with the world, or my 10 followers lol.
I made this particular design with my own grandmothers in mind :) I wanted a way to incorporate the motherly figure that they are to their kids, grandkids and great grandkids… but that would be entirely too many names to include, so I came up with this! I am very excited about this keychain and my grandmothers love it as much as everyone else has. If you happen to be interested in purchasing this custom designed keychain for someone in your life, you can buy this keychain here.
After the incredible success of my “Proud to be a Nurse” keychain– I thought to myself… “what other job is a woman proud to have?” and of course I came up with MOM!!! I love the pop of purple in this design and I know that any mother would be happy to have this on their keys. If interested you can purchase this keychain here.
Finally, I came up with this design since as a mother of three very small children, I like to receive those little things from them that remind me of just how little they are. Everything about this design makes me feel like it is something that they would give me on Mothers Day. If this seems like something that you would like to own, you can find it here.
Hey there! Welcome to my blog that will have you laughing at my attempt to juggle life :) This blog will not only share my experiences but I will also share recipes, interesting tidbits from my classes, craft tutorials, activities for kids, and so much more!
First- here is a little bit about myself…
I am a mother of 3 beautiful, smart, and crazy kids. My oldest son, MJ is 4 years old. He is the smartest and most kind-hearted child that I have ever met in my life. Next is my only daughter, Kaydence who is 2 years old (almost 3!) and truly believes that she is a princess. She is strong-willed, independent and already knows she will be a “Big Star!” Finally is my youngest son, Jacob. At only 9 months old his smile is infectious and he is the happiest baby in the world. I am married to a wonderful man who has brought out the best in me and I am incredibly thankful for him and the family that we have created together.
In addition to running my household, I am also a full-time student at Florida Institute of Technology. I am currently in the process of obtaining my bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Advocacy. Please don’t make the mistake of assuming that because I attend on-line college that I am somehow taking a short-cut to my degree– the workload of my classes are equivalent to an “on campus” experience.
As if being a full-time mother, wife, and student weren’t enough I am also self-employed as a shop owner on ETSY. Doing crafts provides a creative outlet for me and also allows me to bring in additional income (which never hurts with 3 growing children!) When adjusting to life as a stay at home mom I initially believed that I would have endless amounts of time on my hands to run my shop but I have quickly learned that is not the case. During the Christmas season I found myself staying up until 4am working on orders, waking up at 7am with an infant and using every spare moment (that my children allowed) working on constructing my customers holiday orders… all of this was in addition to my school work and household responsibilities.
I hope at this point that you understand just how busy I am and the truth is… I have only scratched the surface. I try to find humor in every situation and I look forward to sharing my hectic, hilarious, AMAZING life with you! My hope is that someone out there gets a good laugh and maybe even finds the inspiration to take on just ONE more task ;)
